The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is a nonprofit habitat conservation organization headquartered in Missoula, MT whose mission is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife and their habitat by raising funds and support through the efforts of nearly 600 volunteer staffed chapters in North America, including 23 chapters in Pennsylvania.

• History: Founded 1984 in Troy, MT.
• Financial Performance: Rated grade "A" by the American Institute of Philanthropy, the RMEF uses its mostly volunteer base to deliver ninety cents of every dollar raised directly to the habitat conservation and improvement we call "Mission Accomplishment".
• Membership: 155,000 from 46 countries; 8,000  Pennsylvania.
• Bugle: The Foundation's magazine is published bi-monthly with a readership of over 350,000.
• Visitor Centers: Missoula, MT hosting 75,000 people annually.
• Mission Accomplishment: Since 1984, the RMEF has spent $500 MILLION DOLLARS to conserve,
preserve and enhance over 5 MILLION ACRES of prime wildlife habitat. We are responsible for over
3,500 land acquisitions and wildlife conservation projects in 48 States and 8 Provinces.

In Pennsylvania alone, we have spent more than $6 MILLION DOLLARS on 100 projects affecting over 14,000 ACRES for public access, our children and the betterment of our resident deer, bear, turkey, other wildlife, and of course our Pennsylvania elk herd.Pass it on
